Easter
Easter was really laid back this year - and I liked it! It all started at about 8am on Saturday, when I decided I was going to tackle a new recipe that I'd found on The Pioneer Woman's website a few days back - Hot Cross Buns. With my sous chef by my side (my helpful husband haha!) I made these DELICIOUS treats! Take a look!

Don't they look scrumptious? They seriously were! Kind of like a warm cinnamon roll, but a little more bread-like. SO YUMMY! If you want to try this out for yourself, check out the recipe HERE.
Later that day we had our family (the Skinners) come by for "Linner" (kind of a late lunch/early dinner) - thanks Brandon, for our great roast chicken meal! Before we ate though, I gave everyone a dyed egg for our traditional Greek Easter egg cracking :) As usual, Jem had the only remaining uncracked egg. Seriously, that kid keeps picking the best egg year after year! You'd think it was rigged or something (no such luck). We ended the day with an Easter church service (and avoided the Sunday crowds!). It was a great Easter - laid back is definitely the way to go!
