The Cruise

For our 10th anniversary, Brandon and I took a weeklong cruise to the Caribbean. It was an AMAZING vacation - I don't know where to begin to describe it! Our room was nice, but our balcony better! The food was good, and never ending! The shows were nightly and entertaining - we saw a magician, acrobats, comedians, broadway style shows, and an ice-show. Let's not forget the Love & Marriage game show *LOL* and the belly flop competition! My favorite part though had to be all of the ports of call - getting to step off the ship to visit these countries and partake in some exciting activities was AWESOME!

Our Ship, Freedom of the Seas. This is officially the BIGGEST boat in the world! Felt like it too - I still couldn't get my bearings, even after a whole week onboard!

Our first port of call was Labadee, Haiti. This is Royal Caribbean's own private spot in Haiti - and we did lots of fun activities here!

One of those activities was jet-skiing around the coast of Haiti. For a whole hour we each drove our own jet-ski as we toured the island! Brandon LOVED it - he was a little speed demon....but me, well.... let's just say that my love of the water did not overcome my fear of drowning in it *LOL*. I was petrified the entire time, and couldn't wait for it to be over!

Our next port of call was Ocho Rios, Jamaica. This was on our actual anniversary... and we spent the day at Sandals Resort. We swam in the caribbean waters, lay in the sun, sipped some fruity drinks, and had a nice time together!

Our third port of call was Georgetown, Grand Cayman Island. This is where I had the MOST fun of all - getting to go to "Stingray City" and snorkel and swim with the stingrays! I can't even begin to tell you how exciting this was - having these creatures swim by you, rubbing their sides against your legs, watching them swim beneath you...WOW!

Our last port of call was Cozumel, Mexico. We took a ferry to the mainland, and drove up to Tulum to see the Mayan ruins. Here I am at the ruins, taking a break from all of the walking with the spectacular Caribbean waters behind me. I will never forget the colors of the water - it's like nothing I've ever seen before!

Here is Brandon posing in front of the main temple in Tulum. The Mayan ruins were spectacular - though it was VERY crowded here (I know it's hard to tell from this picture *LOL*) and it was VERY HOT!
