That tongue. Those eyes. That smile.

Image
That girl.  That tongue.  It's always BUSY.  Doing somethin'.  Curling.  Poking out.  Licking something.  She sure can do lots of tricks with it.  And it sure is darn cute!  Of course, as her mom I think she's cute ALL the time :)   Especially when she smiles!  I love how she smiles with her whole face, crinkling up her eyes....ahhh....makes a mama's heart melt I tell ya !

Jem gets a haircut

Image
I'm just grateful that it wasn't ME that had to do it this time!  Usually it is....and usually I wait until the end of the day.  Because of THAT.  You know all that HAIR that you see on Jem's shirt in the photo above.  Except "I" am not usually that messy.  "I" usually don't get Jem all hairy.  Nope.  I just get it all over ME instead!  So this time around, I was very grateful for a husband that volunteered to cut my son's long (and shaggy) hair!  Thanks babe :)

Little Girl

I need to start taking more pictures of Jem, because when I looked through my album to see which pictures I could post on this blog, all I had were photos of Finley! Maybe it's because she's here all day long and is a willing subject; or maybe it's because my 10 year old boy is so over my pathological need to picture take. Whatever the reason, the photo files on my computer are overwhelmingly one sided. So my apologies for not having a Jem post. Instead, here are some of my favorite photos of Finley from the last couple of weeks :) First up, a couple of photos from when she was "10 Weeks Old". Finley has always loved bath time. Even if she is the crankiest of cranksters, the minute you put her in the water she calms down, relaxes, smiles and enjoys herself! Daddy gives her a bath most nights, like he used to do with Jem....and then I get her, all clean and happy and ready for a beddies! I just LOVE this picture of Fin...she was totally happy and relaxed...

Mum's Visit

Image
My mum has been staying with us for the last month. She's been keeping me company at home, getting to watch her new little grand-daughter grow. We've gone shopping a little (mum is a huge shopping fiend, don't let her tell you any different!) but mostly have stayed home, relaxing. One of the things mum has really enjoyed during her visit was getting to see it snow! It's snowed twice since she's been here, one time it even stuck around for the morning :) Here she is when it snowed for the first time... Last weekend my cousin Dean (my dad's sister's son), one of his boys - Aaron, and his wife Carol came to visit. Mum really enjoyed seeing them again! And let's not forget mum's FAVORITE moment here....NOT! The haircut. She had wanted me to snip off a HALF inch....and was not happy when I cut off about 3 inches instead LOL. Sorry! I'm not exactly a professional...and besides, it really needed it to be somewhat straight! It's not my f...

Brotherly Love

Image
Seriously...this never gets old. Walking by Finley's room and seeing Jem cuddling her with such brotherly love :) I love my boy so much - he is so caring, and especially so towards his little sister. Can't think of a better kid to FINALLY be a big brother :)

Two Months

Image
Little Finley is now TWO months old! Boy did that come by awfully fast...wasn't I just taking her pictures at one month? She is definitely getting more fun and interactive at the age she's at. She loves to smile - and has conversations with you all the time. Ooohs and ahhs and what sounds like a very definite "Hi". She laughs and coos and gurgles and basically makes my heart melt :) Love you my little girl!

Photo Frame

Image
Fin's new photo frame came today. It had been on order and I'd been eagerly anticipating it's arrival for a few weeks now :) Within hours I'd already gotten the glass cut for it, mounted the picture and had it ready for Brandon to hang. I just LOVE how it looks in her room...and so too does she apparantly! Look at her looking at herself....sheesh....
